An Israeli attack on a designated humanitarian zone in al-Mawasi has killed 90 Palestinians. Thousands of displaced Palestinians were sheltering there. The Israeli military claims it was targeting Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was not certain Deif had been killed in the strike.
