A bus crash has killed forty-five people in South Africa’s north-eastern Limpopo province.

According to authorities, the vehicle plunged some 50m (165ft) off a bridge into a ravine. The bus crashed through a barrier and caught fire when it hit the ground.

The only survivor, an eight-year-old girl, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

First responders and emergency services were spotted at the scene of the crash.

The passengers were all pilgrims travelling from Botswana’s capital Gaborone to an Easter service in the South African town of Moria.
